Practice! A Success Tip -Avontix

It can be seen from the lives of famous and successful people that they succeed not just because of their natural talent but with practice and patience. Many people usually think that people who succeed have a different DNA in them and that is the reason they excel in whatever they do. But, this is a wrong notion and you ought to get rid of this thinking if you want to succeed in whatever you do. A number of studies have been conducted and it has been identified that successful people in all walks of life are no different from others in terms of learning capabilities. The only significant differentiation is that successful people practice more than the ordinary.

What we have to understand is that our thinking is pulling us back and if we want to succeed or become great at something, then the only path to that goal is that we have to work very hard that too, very consistently. This is what practice is all about.  There is no substitute for hard work and even the most gifted persons in this world will need to work hard for a decent number of years for success that can be thought as substantial. Now, it cannot be guaranteed that every person who works hard tremendously becomes a great person. Even after toiling for decades, some people remain where they started or have to settle something that is mediocre. Now, here is the key factor that brings success to you for the efforts you have put in – practice. Practicing consistently brings you success.

Practice to improve, not for perfection
Remember that practice is a process. It is a step-by-step process wherein the benefits are infinitesimal many times. It may even be hard for you to recognize that you are in the process of progress. You should focus on the point that practice is aimed at continual improvement and hence, there is no scope of perfection. If you aim at perfection, chances are there that you don’t reach the goal and get disheartened and frustrated. Your confidence is shattered and energy levels drop so badly that you need to work from scratch again. Hence, it is always a better option to work towards consistent improvement which you can see and acknowledge. This builds your morale and boosts your confidence levels to work much harder with much greater perseverance.

So, the takeaway is that practice with persistence will take you to success. Practice, practice and practice…
